In December 2008, China Electrical Equipment Industry Association awarded Wuyi County "China Power Tool Manufacturing Base" title.
Wuyi County, which belongs to Jinhua City in Zhejiang province, has been selected as one of the 100 happiest counties in the country.
The power tool industry is a major feature and highlight in the economic development of Wuyi County. In 2012, the total output value of the local power tool industry exceeded 10 billion yuan, accounting for about 15% of the national export value of similar products. Among them, the output and export volume of electric hammer have ranked first in China since 2001, accounting for more than 70%.
