What Are The Uses Of Saws?

(1) Use of frame saw

Before using the frame saw, use the knob to adjust the angle of the saw blade, and use the twister to tighten the rope to make the saw blade straight. There are two ways to use the frame saw: vertical cutting and horizontal cutting.

①Slitting method

When sawing, put the wood on the bench, hold the right foot on the wood, and make a right angle to the sawing line, stand upright with the left foot, and make a 60° angle with the sawing line, the right hand and the right knee are perpendicular to the sawing line, and the human body is at a right angle to the sawing line. It is appropriate for the line to form an angle of about 45°.

When sawing, hold the saw in the right hand, lean against the saw blade with the thumb of the left hand, gently pull and push the saw with the right hand (pull first and then push), open the sawing path, leave the saw edge with the left hand, and cut the sawtooth 5mm into the wood. When left and right, the left-hand helps the right hand to carry the frame saw. When lifting the saw, it should be light, and the saw hand can be slightly raised. This allows the saw blade to advance along the cutting line. Otherwise, the edge of the wood after longitudinal cutting will not be straight, or the saw edge will be uneven.

②Horizontal cutting method

When sawing, put the wood on the bench, stand at the left rear of the wood, hold the wood with the left hand, hold the saw with the right, and hold the wood with the left foot. The sawing method is the same as the longitudinal cutting method.

When cutting with a frame saw, the lower end of the blade should slope forward. The upper end of the vertical saw blade is inclined backward at an angle of about 75°-90° (the angle with the wood surface), and the horizontal saw blade is inclined backward at an angle of about 30°-45°. Always pay attention to make the saw blade advance along the line without deviation. The saw edge should be straight, and the saw blade should not be swayed left and right to cause deflection. When the wood is about to be sawed off, you should hold the left hand firmly to break the material, slow down the sawing speed, and cut off all the wood all the time. It will also tear along the wood grain, affecting the quality.

(2) Use of hand saw

When sawing a wide board with a hand saw, hold the wood with your left hand and the handle of the saw with your right hand, and when you push it forward, it acts as a saw. When the sawing is finished, the left leg should lean on the wood, the right foot should be released, the left hand should be moved to the middle of the sawing line, and the two sides should be pressed with the hands to prevent the wood from breaking.

(3) Use of wire saw

First drill a small hole in the work piece, pass the wire saw blade through it, buckle it on the nail of the bamboo bow, hold the bamboo bow with your hands and push and pull according to the ink line (be careful not to use too much force). Wire tweezers are used up. The wire saw blade should be loosened to relax the bamboo bow, which can maintain the elasticity of the bamboo bow and prevent the wire saw blade from breaking.

(4) Use of hole saw

First drill a circular hole on the workpiece with a shaking drill or a hand electric drill, and insert the saw blade into the hole. When sawing, pay attention to the fact that the saw blade is adapted to the contour of the workpiece being sawed.
